When I think of awakened awareness, I think of the iconic painting on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel of God giving life to Adam. So are we given life, by consciousness. Through awakened attention, we’re available for surprise, for new information that turns our head. When new awareness comes, it’s like the hand of life reaching out to touch our hand. We’re not just a tine, atomistic self alone in the unfathomable universe. We’re not alone. Life is always reaching out to us. And through integrated awareness, we’re available to see, feel, and know life’s hand, and to reach back – to be in constant dialogue with the consciousness that runs in, through, and around us, at once a part of life and contributing to it. When we awaken this capacity, we grow and heal.
